i do, better than what regular people expect from an autist. i choose to ignore what they refuse to outright unless it's passive-aggressive, out of spite. i won't entertain dancing around real subjects. if you can't care enough about your message to say it outright, why should i do you the honour of doing it for you?

It's... Very mixed. I am usually not that good at deciphering double meanings or intent at times, or sometimes I outright refuse to see it because if they truly wanted me to know, they'd be direct. Regardless, I do find myself being correct about 40-60% of the time if I do attempt to decipher, usually by a mix of feelings and the facts that I know of that person. I love puzzles sometimes, and I like doing guesswork, but when it comes to communicating, I'd rather people be direct. The entire deciphering process is a bother in general since I don't think I should need to do that. Maybe I'm just autistic.

i think that i usually get what people mean when they say something. negative/positive connotations and context and whatnot, i mostly put things together subconsciously and know if someone is being malicious or not. i'm not sure how to explain it super well. its very embarrassing for me if i don't understand and need them to explain, or think about what they said over and over to try and get it, and i really hate that... either that or it's just frustrating for me
