How do you feel about action rpgs? (eg: Diablo, Torchlight, Grim Dawn, etc.)

(This may or may not lead to me gushing about the month-long Grim Dawn kick I've been on)

The only action RPGs I've played any significant amount of was Diablo's PSX port and the PS3 port of Diablo 3. I'm curious about Path of Exile 2 because the Mercenary class seems to be a playstyle I may be able to fuck with, but as a genre I've largely bounced off it
