Just finished Now You See Me Now You Don’t, and i’m writing this while still sitting in my seat. Just right the moment the lights turned on. I don’t know why, but i felt strangely empty the moment the movie ended. I swear i was gasping the whole time. The nostalgia, the new tricks, the new members... everything was so worth the wait. So… any comments from you?
Oh, is this your way of making a guy’s heart beat faster? By letting him know he’s the person you thought of the moment you finished what you thought was a great movie? Anyway, I think it’s a really fun film to watch when you don’t feel like thinking and just want to have a good time and be entertained—a popcorn flick, as some would say. The new faces are refreshing, seeing Hanley back in the game makes me blush (yes, I have the biggest crush on her), the light effects are as sick as they can possibly get, and I love that whole set where they try to one-up each other using their specialities. At that moment, all I could think was, “God damn, the arrogance-and-confidence combo has never been so sexy.” But like I said earlier, it’s a popcorn flick. I felt the plot was rather sloppy, and the tricks were, in a way, just recycles of the previous ones instead of anything new, so they didn’t give me that “Woah, that was clever” feeling. Still, some films are meant to be enjoyed on the surface rather than in depth. All in all, it was a good time for me. ;]
