i always write out my summary first before i even begin writing, it helps guide me! i also don't really outline my fics and instead freestyle as i go, although i do keep a list of really specific scenes, quotes, or random character details i want to make sure i write at some point (like in "undecided", i really wanted to write the military enlistment side story of mark/jaemin/jeno. or in "johnny", i thought renjun would totally be the kind of person who would do hinge on an ipad so i wanted to include that for fun)

i do create specific playlists for each fic that i write, and the fic title is always the song i listened to the most! listening to music is honestly such a great motivator when writing 🤎🤎🤎
