Kalau boleh jujur awalnya aku tidak mau menjawab pertanyaan kamu ini bukan karena aku tidak setuju, tidak peduli, atau kurang nyaman, tapi karena aku pun merasakan hal yang sama akhir-akhir ini dan aku sendiri juga bingung cara mengutarakannya gimana… karena yang kamu bilang benar, seharusnya tidak masalah, toh pada dasarnya semua orang berhak menikmati RPS dan ship mereka masing-masing dengan cara mereka sendiri selama tidak ada yang dirugikan, and it’s never, EVER that serious. It’s even more isolating when you look around and nobody else seems to think that maybe this has gone a little overboard, that Kyungmin deserves to be known beyond the role people keep assigning him in their ships, that it gets to a certain point where it does feel like Kyungmin is viewed in such a hollow way and valued only for how well he functions within their narratives. Menurutku sangat wajar kalau kamu merasa defensive dan protective over Kyungmin, apalagi kalau kamu memang seorang penggemar terlebih dahulu sebelum kamu seorang shipper. I’m with you on this one, dan bukan cuma kamu yang ngerasa kayak gini!

At the same time, I also believe that whatever we see on the timeline is only a fraction of what people actually think, feel, or how they engage with what they enjoy apart from what they choose to share publicly. We’ll never have the full picture, so it’s entirely possible that their love for Kyungmin as an individual exists in ways and spaces we’re not privy to. While it’s unfair to say that what they’re doing is inherently wrong, we shouldn’t force ourselves to conform and not be ticked off. You’re still allowed to dislike what you see. There’s nothing wrong with people incorporating Kyungmin into their headcanons, but we can be bothered and feel uncomfortable when it seems like he’s only there to serve another ship’s dynamic. Because both of these things can coexist, it ultimately comes down to the mute and block button :-) selama mereka nggak memaksakan headcanon itu ke kita, lebih baik tidak usah kita hiraukan daripada jadi beban pikiran.
