with the way the other contestants spoke about junseo during the last ep (leejeong talking abt how he supported him when he was down, masato saying he was rooting for him, donggyu always being next to him), maybe im overanalysing things but it seems like they know the amt of hate he's been getting and the reason he's hated over too. and im glad he got somewhat of a favourable edit this time (could be better but ill take it), he needed and deserves a redemption/some sort of development before the show ended
my personal thoughts on this: mnet really doesn’t like junseo. they gave him evil edits for two consecutive episodes (7 and 8), then completely cut his screentime in episodes 9 and 10. it honestly felt like they were trying to get rid of him, but since the gap between junseo and rank 9 was too big, maybe they just accepted their fate. that’s probably why they gave him a little redemption in the final episode. maybe thet thought that if he’s debuting, they at least want him to be decent enough for the public to like.
but in the end, it doesn’t matter, because junseo debuted and everyone knows his hate train on the k-side was nothing but rooted in homophobia.
