the filo aus on ur listography look so good i wish i knew tagalog so i could read them😞 so many good mahae fics out there are in tagalog too
i tried translating one for a friend bc i really wanted them to read it (there are so many great ones!) but most of the humor doesn’t really work or makes sense in english so i gave up ( ;´ - `;) there are also a lot of complex slang or ways of typing that filos in the motherland use that are difficult to remake in english while still having the same intended effect/feeling. ALSO filo au writers love a video moment, like there are so many panels that are played out in video format instead of the usual still photos. they also usually never use idols’ real names since it’s rps haha

when i was a young teen, it was definitely soulmate-identifying marks or enemies to lovers on ao3 haha. lately i’ve been really enjoying arranged marriage for some reason. now that i’m older, i also LOVE canon compliant and friends to lovers because when writers weave in real events (things that markhyuck irl said or did) into their writings, it hits so much more. nothing more romantic than canon mahae, truly. over the past decade, their interactions and dynamics have just developed into something so sweet and safe/comforting. makes me remember why i started rooting for them in the first place. their connection is just so special ahhh my strong duo (˶˘ ³˘(´͈ ᵕ `͈˶) 🐯💘🐻

sorry im awkward bc i have social media anxiety so i never make friends online or do anything besides like tweets 😖 but yes! i been stanning nct since debut but i probably became a huge mahaeist around 2017-18?? and never stopped🤭 but the past few years i was kinda out of it and recently got super obsessed and addicted w them again....its nice to know there are other dedicated fans from long ago too its sad to see so many accounts from back then be inactive😞
ahhh i was the same! life got busy so i deleted my account and became a casual listener instead around 2021. it was a mixture of nct wish, the dreamscape album, and the firstfruit (when that markhyuck article for a pre-release collab came out OH MY GODDDD) that had me starting to keep up with what was going in ncity again haha. it wasn’t until murmurs of HOLO started going around that i decided to full send coming back to twitter though. all for hyuck hehe (ㅅ´ ˘ `)♡

love me some markhyuck aus ahhh (˶ᵔ ᵕ ᵔ˶) list of recs linked below! i will say i’m very critical or picky when it comes to aus haha. send me the link to this still tho! i haven’t heard of it bc i hardly come across any english ones. my favorites from back then were 4ngstr0m’s works. sam was just the BEST writer, so funny and so good at writing chemistry and knowing how to pace things. i loved every single jaehyuck side plot HAHAHA. the only au writer i can say that matches them in terms of writing style and writing quality today is tinymahaes.
