hey im wondering can i use the page on my strawpage i use as a commisson porfolio as my perfolio for this project- or do i have to make a speific perolio for this
Hi anon!
We accept any format of portfolio as long as it's viewable. So yes, you can submit your strawpage as your portfolio.
That said, we strongly encourage all applicants to submit a curated portfolio based on our application guidelines so that we have a strong idea of what you'll bring to the table.

Hey there!! I'm filling out the app and was Splattershot Jr suppose to be listed twice? I rlly wanted to pick the OG Splattershot but it doesn't seem to be an option. Thank you!!!
Hi anon! Thanks for catching this error and bringing this to our attention. We've removed the duplicate Splattershot Jr. option and replaced it with Splattershot. If you've already filled out the form, you can edit your response to have Splattershot as one of your preferences.

would the gijinka apply to the specials as well? example. reef slider?
Hi anon! For this project, we will only be making gijinkas of the main weapons and the Grizzco Weapons. Sub and special weapons are NOT included in the scope of this project.

Do I have to join the discord server? I have really horrible social anxiety and bad experiences with getting harassed by other artists but id still like to participate
Hi anon, we're incredibly sorry to hear that you've faced harassment in other servers. However, joining the Discord server is required for all participants, as it is our primary way of sending announcements and hosting check-ins. There are no exceptions to this. If you do not feel comfortable speaking in the server, you're not required to say anything beyond sending in your check-in progress.
Our mods will be committed to making our contributors feel safe, and we have a zero tolerance policy for harassment and drama. In the case you do not feel comfortable within the server, please let a mod know immediately.

Hi! Thanks for the question. No, the zine will not be in a restricted palette. Artists can use any colors they want in their gijinka design and illustration!

Would it be possible at all for this zine going physical? Or at least just something like merch?
Hi anon! Thank you so much for the interest in seeing our project in a physical format.
Unfortunately, we will NOT be making a physical version or merchandise for the zine. We will be releasing the zine for free using digital platforms since that's the scope we're most comfortable with. That said, when the zine releases, you're welcome to print out a physical copy for personal use!

Can we make our gijinka based off a pre-existing oc? (Like a costume or au!)
Hi anon! Whether or not you can use an already existing gijinka will depend on the results from our interest check:
- If the majority of the responses want to see entirely new designs, you won't be able to use the preexisting OC.
- If the majority of the responses are OK with preexisting gijinka designs, you are welcome to use that OC!
We will be releasing the results from our interest check sometime between April 25th - May 1st, so please check our socials then to have a definitive answer!
